Wat are succulent nails?

Your garden backyard inspires the latest trend in Earth’s manicure. Now you can take your passion for plants and flowers to the full.

What is succulent?

Any plant that stores fleshy leaves, stems, or roots with water is a succulent. Between 2010 and today, Google searches for “succulents” increased by over 5000 percent.

Manicure trend over Instagram:

If you love tiny succulent plants that make your gardens look beautiful, then you could enjoy the internet taking over the new manicure trend. This creative nail art trend could still be for you, even if you don’t like plants.

Created by Australian artist Roz Borg

Australian artist Roz Borg created this popular new nail art trend by sharing images on social media of nails made-up with tiny plants on them. Usually, she uses the succulents for terrariums and even jewelry, but now she’s taking to a new level the idea of having a green thumb. Roz used the beautiful plants to make a manicure that would give you a living nail art trend. Roz created real succulent jewelry and decided to use the same technique on something she had never seen before using baby succulents. Everyone knows that plants are great for brightening up your desk or coffee table, so why leave it there? It turns out that they are pretty good at jazzing up your fingers too.

How to create the look?

With floral adhesive, you glue the small plants to an acrylic nail and then add the plants to your actual nails and BOOM! You have, practically, a living plant at your fingertips. As your nails expand, so will their 3D decorations. Although it may be a little time consuming, the results are simply amazing and worth a try. Each hand takes nearly an hour, but the bright, tiny bouquet at the tip of your fingers is a pleasure to look at.

Environment-friendly nails

You may not have the manicure available at your local nail salon, but you can definitely give it a whirl. This nail art trend is eco- friendly, and it won’t do any harm until it starts chipping off. People are surprised to learn that these are real live plants, not 3D sculpting. To add the baby succulents to a fake nail, she uses a unique form of floral glue, called oasis glue.

Winding up

If you were looking for a way to take your love of this plant to a whole new level, we just found you a perfect solution. You definitely should visit Roz’s Instagram page if you love succulents as it will give you inspiration for your garden and jewelry. While it would not be the most practical or durable manicure, it is at least an exciting manicure trend. Give it a try for sure.
